Dr. Lexy Parsons, DACM, L.Ac, is a double board-certified Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She specializes in Japanese Meridian Therapy Acupuncuture, a classical style of acupuncture that emphasizes gentle and shallow needling, skillful palpation, and pulse and abdominal diagnosis. This therapuetic and holistic approach is beneficial for all patients, especially those who are young, sensitive, and weak. She is a passionate herbalist, practicing Kampo Herbal Medicine, a Japanese-based approach that emphasizes abdominal diagnosis and pattern matching. She is currently completing a 2-year herbal apprenticeship with Nigel Dawes, a founding leader in this this field.
She has obtained additional certifications in Dr. Vodder’s Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Functional Medicine from the Institute of Functional Medicine, and Michelle Gellis’ Advanced Certificate Program for Facial Acupuncture and Microneedling.
Dr. Lexy completed her Doctoral (DACM) and Masters (MSTCM) degrees at Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego, which included 4800 hours of clinical and didactical hours in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and western medicine.
